The Little Things...
Dentistry is a competitive course. One has to admit that.It has always annoyed me when people would come up to me and say that they are surely going to fail, when we all know for a fact that they do extremely well all the time. And when they say they have not studied at all when they've probably finished their revision two times over by this time of the year.
Fair enough for people who actually really are in danger of failing, but if you're obviously good at what you do please don't say you're not - it just pisses off everyone who aren't as good. After all, if you insist that you're going to fail, what about the rest of us mere mortals?
Some may say they're just being modest. Some say it's because they have to appear like they're doing nothing to trick the competition into a false sense of security. - but surely you can just give a non-committal response along the lines of "Uh...yeah, it's okay I guess. Not great, but not bad."
Just my two cents.
