The Way It Goes
So after one session of steaming the steamer decided to keel over and die.Have gone to exchange it for a new one. Hopefully this second one does not repeat the first one's performance, or else a refund is in sight.
Buying rice is such a tricky thing to do in Australia. Some of the brands come out really hard and non-fragrant. I know I should just stick to something that definitely works and never swap around but sometimes they're out of stock etc and I'm forced to take the risk.
All I can say is don't buy Koala brand rice.

I buy 10kg bags at a time to avoid this. And yes, do avoid Koala brand rice.
